About Trending Finds Weekly

Trending Finds Weekly is an independent editorial publication that tracks unusual deals from small direct-to-consumer brands. We cover bankruptcy stock, cancelled wholesale orders, returned-pallet sales, customs surplus, and emergency warehouse clearances on quality home, outdoor, and consumer-tech products.

What we cover

Most editorial coverage of consumer products focuses either on premium brands at premium prices or on the cheapest option in a given category. Both have their place, but they leave a substantial gap. That gap is where a quality product becomes unusually inexpensive for reasons that have nothing to do with its quality. Wholesale partners cancel orders. Container surcharges spike. A retail buyer pulls out the week before delivery. A brand decides to vacate a warehouse rather than keep paying the lease.

These situations create a window in which an item that would normally sell at $300 is briefly available at $9.99. The window is usually short, the inventory is finite, and most consumers never hear about it because no marketing budget has been allocated to amplify the deal. Our editorial focus is on identifying, verifying, and explaining these situations as they happen.

How we work

For every story we publish, we confirm pricing and inventory directly with the brand at the time of publication. We do not pre-publish, and we do not relay claims we have not independently verified. When an article includes a customer review or testimonial, that quote was reproduced from a verified buyer review on the brand's official site, with the brand's permission. When we cite a price comparison against another retailer, the comparison is based on listings checked at the time of writing.

We do not accept advertising. We do not run sponsored content. Our publication is supported by a small affiliate commission earned when readers choose to purchase through links in our articles, and only on certain partner brands. The commission does not affect editorial coverage; we cover stories on the basis of whether the deal is real and worth knowing about, not on the basis of whether we earn a commission. Where an affiliate relationship exists, it is disclosed at the bottom of the article.

Editorial team

Trending Finds Weekly is staffed by a small editorial team based across multiple time zones. Senior editor Sarah Mitchell leads coverage of home and lifestyle categories. Contributing editors James Chen and Rebecca Holm cover outdoor and consumer-tech respectively. Story leads come from a mix of reader tips, brand outreach, and direct monitoring of pricing and inventory shifts on the direct-to-consumer brands we follow.
